Fastpack or Trail Run the Sentul Trails

Faster-paced training days, trail retreats & ultra trail camps

Free yourself from the rigours of road running and a tunnel-vision focus on pace.

Whether a trail newbie or a seasoned trail endurance athlete, you’ll find freedom on trail at nature’s pace, moving intuitively by feel, fitness and terrain. your connection with the landscape.

idGuides and the Sentul Trails was borne out of a love for trail running, as far back as in 2005 when KK, idGuides’ Founder (and UESCA-certified Ultrarunning Coach), escaped Jakarta each weekend training for her expedition races, at the time for the Gobi March 2008, a 250km desert stage race organised by Racing The Planet as part of their 4Deserts Series.

idGuides has specialised since then on ultra-trail journeys by design for private clients and small groups requiring dedicated trail running & outdoor skills for ultras and adventure races. Now, we want to make our knowledge & skills, trails and Acacia Camp available for everyone, whether you are new to trail running, training for a specific race, testing gear, undertaking an overnight training session, or wanting to develop particular outdoor skills relevant to a specific race.

During 2025, we’re launchng a series of trail training retreats designed and dedicated for different abilities and training objectives.

So, whether you are keen to join a trail retreat or just run for a day, our speed is determined solely by your objectives on the day, trail fitness & technique and technical difficulty levels, including elevation gain & loss on your route. No-one starts out running on trails – it is a process of transition, with patient base-building and muscular endurance; building your connection with the landscape through time-on-feet and practicing the outdoor skills, trail technique, mental fortitude and nutritional requirements required for endurance efforts and which work for you.
